This is called the 'average' american. Living for the weekend.
Now don't get me wrong, nothing is bad about a 40 hour work week and hanging out with friends on the weekend, but have you ever thought if maybe what life had in store for you was more than just 'average'? Wake up, go to school/work, get home, eat, log into facebook, watch TV, update twitter, go to bed, repeat. This was my life for a portion of what can remember, and all through it i thought "what am i doing this for?"
You see too often we get wrapped up in everything around us that we forget why it is we do the things we do. Some answers are simple.. you go to school to receive an education, you eat to survive. But honestly why do you wake up in the morning? According to last years statistics 33,000 people in america decided that they didn't want to wake up the next morning. So they took their own life. Is this the american dream?
What if we started looking at things as a bigger picture? What if we looked at life is a whole?
What if maybe, just maybe theres something more in store for you then just average?
What is it that motivates you? What is it that makes your life enjoyable and want to wake up the next morning? Is it your friends, family, work, culture religion, kids, success, hope for the weekend?
Because in reality it all comes down to one question. And its a simple one really, we just never take the time to ask it. The 33,000 people who took their own life asked it, and found out that they had no answer.
They asked themselves it..
and maybe if you have the guts you can ask yourself as well.
What am I living for?..
